:: The Bleaching Cream Dilemma
|
|
 Scarlet writes: "Women that use bleaching cream either ignored or have no knowledge of the danger of bleaching their skins. Despite the ban on the sale of skin bleachers in certain countries, it appears that the products are easily available. I myself, have seen bleach cream being sold at the beauty supplies, corner stores, and even on auction sites. The ban of skin bleaching cream was meant to protect women form changing they natural skin color. But some how, it has become acceptable to bleach ones skin.
Did you know that black skin renews itself quickly, rapidly producing new skin cells? This ability helps regeneration and keeps black skin looking younger for longer. Bleaching creams work by stripping the skin of its natural pigmentation. Bleaching doesn’t just lighten the skin; it alters the skin’s natural structure by removing and inhibiting the production of the color creating melanin. Bleaching creams not only damaged but also traumatize skin cells. Many women after using the bleaching cream for years later have rough and blotchy skin. Doctors have proved that bleaching cream increase the risk of skin cancer, liver damage and infertility. Some women have even die by using bleaching cream due to septicemia, which is infection of the skin.
Many Haitian are convinced that the lighter the color of their skins, the more beautiful the person, when in fact, light skin is a natural response to nature. In fact the reason people are naturally lighter then other is because of their location. Here is the logic; if you receive low levels of sunlight, then your skin would be lighter then some who receive high level of sunlight’s.
I for one would never understand why women go to such extreme to change the color of ones skin. There is a reason why God made us with this skin color, God infused us with dark pigmentation to protect us from the harmful ultra-violet sun rays. Darks skins are protective shields that we should love and cherish, and it shouldn’t be abuse by toxic or harmful chemicals.

Women should not try to change their skin color. If it is what you are born with then why bother if it will cause you more harm then good. |
