Just Another Day

My eyes open
to a bright and happy sun
i cover my face
it is to early to be happy
i want my dreams back

I uncover my face
my eyes burn
it is too bright
i am still not happy
why get out of bed?

i decide to make my way to the shower
hopefully to wash away
these unpleasant thoughts and feelings
the heat and steam of the shower
make my vision blurry

a good to way to sum up
my life lately
blurry and unclear
without reason to smile
i step out

feeling refreshed
i am ready to start
yet another day
just going through the motions.
